Foreign Money on Trichy airport :
At Trichy international airport foreign money, gold seized by the customs officials including US dollars and euro equivalent to 74 lakh from a passenger about to board a Singapore flight.
According to the source ,the air intelligence unit of the customs department checked the passenger who was boarding a Singapore bound scoot airlines owing to suspicion on Sunday they found $80,000 and ₹10,000 equivalent to Indian currency value of 74.2lakh.
Gold Seized on Trichy airport :
When the authorities segregated the gold from the health mix,they extracted 211 grams of the metal.
Unfinished gold chains weighing 175 grams were also recovered from the passenger.
